A slightly modified take on the classic Standard model, the Gibson J-45 Ebony is a visually striking and incredible sounding guitar.
The main differences between this model and a standard model are subtle, but certainly notable. The Gibson J-45 Ebony does not have an on-board pickup system, although the fantastic projection and sound make it a great choice as a recording guitar and some highly professional sounds are easily achievable. An oversized white pick guard contrasts against the black finish and adds something a bit different to this model, along with a height adjustable rosewood bridge.
Beautiful and Rare... Body The classic round-shoulder body shape obviously has a timeless look to it but also contributes to the amazing sound you will hear from the Gibson J-45 Ebony. Although finished in a beautifully contrasting ebony, the tone woods used remain the same. A spruce top surrounded by mahogany back and sides give you one of the most praised and well-known acoustic guitar sounds out there. Neck and Fingerboard The classic combination has not been changed here: a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard fitted with dot inlays give you the ultimate in playability and tone. The round profile of the neck is extremely well suited to acoustic guitar playing and encourages toneful performance.
